T-shirt Yarn Crochet Slippers

Introducing my T-shirt Yarn Crochet Slippers – yet another pattern from my ever increasing pile.

Lookatwhatimade Chunky Crochet Slippers T-shirt Yarn

I wish you could experience the mayhem of designing these.  I wrote and re-wrote the pattern 4 times, each time realizing that some element didn’t work quite right.  This does not sound THAT daunting.  But add into the mix my baby-addled brain and the fact that I could never focus for more than 15 minutes and it becomes a mammoth task!

The pattern for these crochet slippers has been updated and you can now find it HERE.

I am trying to make these slippers which are just awesome. I can’t figure out what *sc inc, sc* x 2. means because at the end of that row, I only have 49 instead of 54 stitches. I am trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong.

      Danielle, hi.

All instructions between *asterisks* should be repeated the amount of times stated. *sc inc, sc* x 2 therefore means: sc inc, sc, sc inc, sc. I hope that makes sense and I am pleased that you like the slippers!

Got it! Thank you so much for your quick reply to my question. Still learning to read and follow English instructions vs french which can sometimes be a challenge, but these slippers are worth it! Merci:)

Bluebell, can you give me more details? How much too small, which hook did you use, what size were you aiming for…then I can try and help you.

Love your pattern – can’t wait to try it. Just one question – the size is for UK 6/7 – what is the best way to add stitches for a bigger size (need about a size 10/11) – Thanks

Bec, I started working on a gauge table ages ago and then totally forgot about it. If you let me know how long (in cm) you need them to be, I will see if I can figure out how to adjust your yarn and hook instead of adding stitches.

Would you mind going back to the description of this pattern in Ravelry and adding a link to your blog on making t yarn? I guessed it was yarn for knitting T shirts, didn’t realise that it was yarn made from a T shirt and, went out and bought a ball of super chunky yarn which cost more than a T shirt from a charity shop.
